Supporters pay homage to Terry Allcock, a Norwich legend

The 88-year-old legend of Norwich City, Terry Allcock, has received tributes from football fans since his passing earlier this month.

The forward, who was born in Leeds, played 391 games and netted 127 goals during his 11-year tenure with the Canaries.

Dozens of admirers gathered to pay their respects as his funeral cortege passed Carrow Road on Thursday afternoon.

Additionally, Norwich announced that they would remember Allcock on August 17th, when they meet Blackburn Rovers in their first home game of the new Championship season.

As a Division Three team, Allcock assisted Norwich in making it to the FA Cup semifinals during his first full season there in 1958–59.

He finished as the second-highest goal scorer in Canaries history when he retired.

In 2002, he was admitted to the club’s Hall of Fame.

After his passing, the club stated: “The ’59ers cup run will always be talked about, but Allcock remained a huge part of the club long after his playing days at Norwich City, turning his hand to coaching until 1973.”

According to Allcock’s family, a private committal would occur later that same day, following a requiem mass, which is a component of a Catholic Church funeral, on Friday.
