Leeds United player in car crash with police on day of play-off semi final with Norwich City
A police car and a Leeds United player were engaged in an accident outside the team’s stadium just hours before Leeds United’s crucial match against Norwich City.
centre-back On Elland Road on Thursday morning, Charlie Cresswell, 21, was operating his Land Rover Defender when the crash happened.
As the Whites continue their pursuit of promotion to the Premier League, it takes place ahead of the second leg of their playoff semi-final matchup with Norwich City.
The team acknowledged that he was still eligible to be selected for the match, should that become necessary.
West Yorkshire Police verified that one officer was treated for minor injuries after one of their vehicles was involved in an accident.
No further injuries were recorded, they added, adding that investigations are still ongoing.
