The 22-year-old and the English team have agreed to a four-year contract that will see AZ Alkmaar paid an undisclosed sum.
Despite going through the AZ system, Goudmijn has struggled to get first team playing time at the club. He excelled during
his two loan stints at Excelsior.
Heerenveen expressed interest in the midfield player, but Goudmijn decided to relocate to England. Following Derby
County’s promotion to the Championship last year, he will be participating there.

As the fourth player the club has signed this summer, Kenzo Goudmijn said it was “amazing” to complete his deal to Derby
County.
The Dutch midfielder signed a four-year contract at Pride Park after joining the team from AZ Alkmaar for an unknown
amount.
After completing the necessary paperwork this week, Goudmijn—who has participated in almost 70 Eredivisie games—was
presented to his new teammates at Moor Farm. The 22-year-old is excited to start his Derby career and may make his debut
in the team’s first friendly on Friday night at Matlock. He was formerly a Dutch youth international.
He told Rams TV, “It feels amazing and I cannot wait to get started.” “I am glad to be here at last and to get out on the pitch
as soon as possible, but there were some bureaucratic issues to clear out.
Similar to how they approached me after every transfer and claimed they were interested, I was naturally fascinated as well,
having seen and heard about the club. For me, it fluctuated, but I’m finally here and I’m happy.”
