Slipknot’s Sid Wilson hospitalized for severe burns on his face after explosion at his and Kelly Osbourne’s farm
Slipknot’s Sid Wilson was admitted to the hospital on Friday due to “severe burns.”
The 47-year-old turntablist stated, “My face is burnt and my cheeks,” in an Instagram Live video that he shared from
his hospital bed. “I had a facial explosion.”
Then he assured his supporters, “I’m all right. Although I will be alright, I did sustain some severe burns to my arms
and face.
Wilson showed his supporters his injuries up close, including burn marks on his arms and cheeks, a blister on his
mouth, and singed eyebrows.
The DJ claimed that medics were checking for internal damage as well, having taken some chest X-rays to make sure
he didn’t “inhale any flames.”
But even though he was shaking while holding his phone, his body understood it had gone through some sort of
trauma.
Wilson provided additional details on what happened in a different video posted on Instagram on Friday.
The pianist revealed that he was attempting to light a bonfire while “out working on the farm” in Iowa that he lives
with his girlfriend, Kelly Osbourne, when it erupted.
On Friday, Osbourne, who accompanied Wilson to the hospital, issued a severe warning on her Instagram Stories:
“This is why you don’t f–k with burn piles.”
The “Papa Don’t Preach” singer continued, “He literally set himself on fire; exploded everything,” as she and
Wilson’s one-year-old son, Sidney, were on her lap. Oh no.
Then, as her father lay in bed recuperating, Osbourne, 39, posted a second Instagram Story featuring her infant son
playing sweetly with his toys inside the hospital room.
The “Osbournes” podcaster sighed deeply and overlayed her video with a GIF that said, “I Have No Words.”
However, Wilson told his supporters that he was “going to be alright” and that he would go to “any lengths” to watch
them perform live once again.
Later on Friday, the rock star revealed that he was being moved to a different hospital so that his burns.
“I’m going to be ok everyone,” he wrote as his caption’s conclusion. I love you all.
