Steelers named potential landing spot for 7-time 1,000-yard playmaker
The Pittsburgh Steelers are considering signing wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, a 7-time 1,000-yard playmaker, to upgrade their receiving corps. Despite a down season in 2024, Hopkins still showed promise with a 77.0 PFF receiving grade, which could attract the attention of the Steelers’ coaching staff. Adding Hopkins to the team would provide a solid tandem with George Pickens and potentially mentor the young receiver, who has had issues on and off the field. Hopkins is estimated to land a one-year deal worth $15.2 million, which is within the Steelers’ budget, as they have $37.3 million in effective cap space for 2025. While Hopkins may not be the best available wide receiver, the Steelers should consider signing him to bolster their offense.
