In recent weeks, Coventry has been in negotiations to recruit the Swedish custodian.
They have now reached a deal with Hammarby, and Dovin is scheduled to visit England shortly to undergo his medical evaluation.
The deal, according to Swedish publication FotbollDirekt, is estimated to be worth £1.6 million; however, add-ons of £870,000 have been incorporated.
In addition, Hammarby has added a 15% sell-on clause in the contract.
The Swedish side benefits greatly from the agreement, and Dovin gets the opportunity to put himself to the test in the English Championship at Coventry.
After 84 games and 28 clean sheets for the team, he will be leaving Hammarby.
Now, Dovin will strive to put in a lot of work at Coventry throughout preseason in order to win over manager Mark Robins.
