According to numerous sources, the Chicago Cubs have summoned pitcher Hunter Bigge to the Major Leagues and placed pitcher Hayden Wesneski on the 15-day disabled list.
Wesneski will be placed on the injured list for the first time this season. On April 23, the Cubs brought him up from Triple-A Iowa. His right forearm is described as being strained.
The right-hander is 3-6 with a 3.94 ERA in 25 games pitched, including seven starts in 2024. In 61.2 innings, he has walked 21 and struck out 58 batters.
