The Chicago Bears did not travel with a crucial starter when they headed for London, England on Monday night to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. Jaquan Brisker, the starting safety, defensive tackle Zacch Pickens, and cornerback Terell Smith were not with the team. Teven Jenkins, the left guard, did travel with the squad after leaving the game on Sunday due to an ankle injury.
Pickens and Smith each missed the Week 5 win with various injuries, Brisker was not with the team on the way to London after self-reporting concussion-like symptoms Monday afternoon. Brisker was later diagnosed with a concussion but could rejoin the team in London if he clears protocol later in the week.
- Brisker suffered the concussion after taking a big hit were he forced a fumble against Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble. Tremble was knocked out on the play and ruled out with a concussion. Brisker reportedly was shaken up by the hit but still finished the game up until the final drive when all the defensive starters were pulled.
