Bucs Star WR Misses Practice Ahead of Ravens Matchup
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans missed practice on Thursday due to a hamstring injury ahead of their upcoming Monday night game against the Baltimore Ravens. Evans, who has a history of hamstring issues, played through the injury during the Bucs’ win over the Saints, although he was limited to 57% of the offensive snaps. Head coach Todd Bowles noted that Evans “tweaked his leg” but is improving, although the injury has been nagging him. The Bucs also saw several key players return to practice in limited capacity, including center Graham Barton and running back Rachaad White.
The Bucs have been dealing with other injuries as well. Cornerback Jamel Dean left the Saints game with a hamstring injury and could miss some time, with undrafted rookie Tyrek Funderburk stepping up in his place. Tight end Payne Durham was added to the injury report with a calf injury, and if he cannot play, rookie Devin Culp may make his debut.
Despite these setbacks, there was positive news: players like Trey Palmer, Christian Izien, and Rakim Jarrett returned to limited practice. Jarrett, who had knee surgery earlier in the season, is in his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve. The Buccaneers are hopeful they can have some of their key players back for the crucial game against the Ravens.
Stay tuned for updates as the injury situation develops, especially regarding Evans, who has been a key part of the Bucs’ offense.
