A former Michigan player made sure the Buckeyes never forgot that the class of 2021 has yet to defeat Michigan. The Ohio
State football team has lost three straight games to Michigan, a streak that dates back to the 1990s. Ryan Day knows that his
team needs to end this streak with the roster he has now. It’s one of the major things preventing them from winning a
national championship. A lot of great players returned to Ohio State just to get a pair of gold pants.
No matter how excited Ohio State football fans are about the Buckeyes, J.J. McCarthy made sure they remember that truth.
They are among the favorites to take home the title of national champion. McCarthy used Instagram to ensure that everyone
saw his message.

McCarthy took a swipe at Ohio State as a whole in the post below. To start, his post is only true because Michigan postponed
the game in 2020 out of fear of losing. Secondly, we know that Michigan cheated in 2021 and 2022. The only legitimate win
Michigan has over the Buckeyes is from 2023, and it was an unacceptable one. This only serves to fuel the fire for the
Buckeyes, who shouldn’t need any more motivation to defeat TTUN, but it can’t hurt to have more. The roster isn’t going to
be nearly as talented as Ohio State’s, and the coaching staff has lost most of its talented coaches.
McCarthy regrettably has the freedom to spew diatribes. He is free to do so as long as his team wins the rivalry. Michigan
will continue to face penalties in the near future due to recruiting infractions during COVID-19. That doesn’t even account
for the upcoming penalties related to the cheating incident.
