TERRIBLE NEWS: “Signing him was the biggest mistake ever” Panthers coach states…

The Carolina Panthers have been having a dismal season thus far, and they benched Andy Dalton in favour of Bryce Young. It’s likely been difficult for Carolina supporters to support the squad, and right now they’re attempting to make the best of any bad circumstances. The Dilworth Neighbourhood Grille in Charlotte cracked a joke outside their eatery as the Panthers were down 0–2.

The records of Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Matt Rhule are displayed on the sign because each player has begun the season with a certain record. With a record of 0–2, Bryce Young was listed at the bottom of the sign.

Darnold has guided the Minnesota Vikings to a 2-0 record, Mayfield has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 2-0, and Rhule is leading Nebraska to a 2-0 record. Young, who was benched, won’t have another opportunity to help the Panthers’ hopes anytime soon.

Bryce Young shockingly benched for the Panthers

Head coach Dave Canales announced that he would continue to play alongside Bryce Young following the Carolina Panthers’ defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers. He declared a day later that Andy Dalton would be the starting quarterback going forward, so obviously things had changed. It seems that Young was blind to the benching.

David Newton of ESPN NFL Nation wrote on Monday that Bryce Young, the quarterback for the Panthers, “didn’t see the decision by {head} coach Dave Canales to bench him coming,” according to a league source. Close friends and family of Young were “very shocked” by the change and thought it “came out of nowhere,” a source told Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report.

Young’s career has not started well, and it is difficult to hold him accountable for his lack of offensive ability after playing in several different systems.
