Celtics backcourt earns high praise with All-NBA selections

One of the NBA’s most exciting backcourts is that of the Boston Celtics.

Derrick White and Jrue Holiday are both two-way players who can succeed on both offense and defense. In terms of defensive rating at the end of the regular season, the Celtics came in second. White and Holiday played a major role in that tight rearguard.

White and Holiday were both chosen for the All-Defensive Second Team in the NBA’s All-Defensive teams, which were revealed on Tuesday. Their nomination serves as yet more proof of Boston’s roster’s potential, as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are also anticipated to be selected All-NBA picks.

The Pacers are an explosive offensive team, so the Celtics will need to be at their best throughout their conference finals battle between White and Holiday. Tyrese Haliburton is a tremendous player who will definitely try to put Boston’s All-Defensive team to the test.

Holiday and White will be crucial to Boston’s chances of advancing to the NBA Finals. Maybe the Celtics’ recent NBA notoriety will help them gain some momentum and advance.
