Numerous organisations are keeping an eye on the Toronto Blue Jays’ current predicament as the MLB Trade Deadline approaches.
Rumours about their star shortstop, Bo Bichette, are beginning to surface.
With the weather becoming warmer and the MLB Trade Deadline drawing near, organisations are beginning to show up as buyers and sellers. The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the teams that everyone is watching.
The Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees are playing outstanding baseball, and the Blue Jays will find it difficult to close the gap in the division after their poor season.
The Toronto Blue Jays should expect to receive a sizable payout if they choose to sell off some of its young, talented core. Here are Bob Nightengale’s comments regarding the Bo Bichette situation in Toronto.
Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero both seemed to be franchise cornerstones for years to come, thus it’s incredibly interesting to see them both available. But with the Blue Jays in trouble, it appears that anybody will be available for a reasonable price.
Bichette’s season has started quite poorly, and his play is undoubtedly a factor in the Jays’ underwhelming performance. Bichette’s stats are dramatically down this year; in 63 games, he is batting under.240 with just four home runs, down from over.300 with 20 home runs the previous year.
Bo Bichette, who is 26 years old, is still a player with a lot of potential, but this year has been undoubtedly disappointing. Given his early success, the Toronto Blue Jays would find it difficult to accept that he was traded at a low.
