Could Bears trade veteran running back soon? It sounds like possibility
Without a doubt, the Chicago Bears are in a far better situation now than they were a year ago.
Chicago looks to be in a position to win a few more games in 2024 after winning seven last season. The
Bears appear to be a brand-new team after having a fantastic summer and making a lot of changes.
Particularly with the selection of Caleb Williams, the draft sensation, and the acquisition of D’Andre
Swift and Keenan Allen, the offense should be well-positioned.
The Bears have undoubtedly made some improvements, but this could also indicate that more
adjustments are forthcoming. Anthony DiBona of Pro Football Network even ventured to guess that
running back Khalil Herbert would be dealt soon.
“Chicago Bears: Khalil Herbert, RB,” stated DiBona. “Over his three NFL seasons with the Chicago
Bears, Khalil Herbert has shown himself when given the chance. Although he only averages 4.9 yards per
carry, the Bears have made significant investments in the running back position recently.”
While Swift is anticipated to handle the most of the duty out of the backfield and Chicago has some
depth at the position, Herbert has undoubtedly shown some tremendous promise while playing for the
Bears. Before Week 1, Herbert would be a valuable addition to any club searching for a running back
with the ability to start.
Herbert’s time with the Bears may be coming to an end, despite the fact that he has so far been a reliable
running back in his brief career in Chicago.
