It is said that the Toronto Blue Jays may consider trade offers for a superstar during the offseason.
The Toronto Blue Jays might be willing to trade star shortstop Bo Bichette this winter, according to a report from Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Furthermore, Nightengale says the company could attempt to sign Vladimir
Guerrero Jr., making him the team’s favourite and front-runner between the two.
From Nightengale’s notebook, which she kept on Sunday morning:
Shortstop Teams are expected to make trade offers to Bo Bichette this winter. Bichette is a free agent after the 2025 season and has no plans to stay in Toronto.
First baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is also a free agency following the 2025 season, but the Blue Jays would prefer to try to sign him before then.
For the Jays, the issue with Bichette is intriguing. He has a very poor season average.223 with 4 home run scorers.
Even though he only appeared in 79 games, he has a long history of injuries. He is currently listed as handicapped due to a calf ailment.
So how do the Jays act? They would most likely be selling him for a low price in an attempt to breathe new life into the franchise.
They might decide to keep onto him until the offseason, but there’s no assurance he will increase in value in time for a move at the trade deadline the following year.
Furthermore, if they hold onto him and he performs well in the first half of the following season, they might just hang onto him; yet, if that happens, they run the risk of losing him at the end of the season for no more than a comp selection.
How Much Profits will be one of the most interesting subjects of discussion throughout the next offseason. The Chicago Cubs and Blue Jays will play on Sunday afternoon.
