Norwich City signs Oscar Schwartau, a teenage Danish player.
Oscar Schwartau, 18, has officially joined Norwich City from Danish club Brøndby IF.
The young offensive midfield player, who will play at Carrow Road wearing the number 29 shirt, has agreed to a four-year deal that includes a one-year option.
In July 2022, at the tender age of 16 years and 61 days, Schwartau made history as Brøndby’s youngest player ever, garnering attention at an early stage of his career. A month later, he became the youngest goal scorer on the club.
During his time with Brøndby, Schwartau scored six goals in 46 appearances in both domestic and European events.
Schwartau talked about his move to Norwich and expressed his eagerness for the next stage of his career.
This is a momentous occasion for me. I truly appreciate this opportunity,” he remarked.
“It’s good to be here at this big club; I’m glad to be here.” Although moving to a new country will be different, I’m incredibly enthusiastic about it.
The sporting director of Norwich City, Ben Knapper, was also highly critical of the team’s acquisition.
Knapper expressed his happiness that Oscar, one of Danish football’s most promising prospects, will be visiting Norwich City.
Even though he is only eighteen, he already has a tonne of amazing senior football experience from playing both domestically and abroad.
