Leeds United may rekindle interest in the 21-year-old free agency midfield target for 2023.
Daniel Farke has a limited amount of time remaining in the summer transfer window to put together a competitive squad and aim for promotion.
With only three senior options on the squad following the July sales of Glen Kamara and Archie Grey, midfield is an especially poor position.
Leeds United was pursuing French midfielder Edouard Michut at this same time last year. He did, however, eventually manage to win a transfer from PSG to Turkey due to pay concerns, and he is currently a free agent.
Edouard Michut, a 2023 Leeds midfield target, was released from Adana Demirspor
Before Leeds finally decided to recruit Ilia Gruev and Kamara as their two new midfield additions to join Grey and Ethan Ampadu back in August 2023, other targets surfaced.
Fabrizio Romano claims that one of them was Edouard Michut, a PSG player and former Sunderland loanee. He was on loan at the Stadium of Light for the 22–23 season, where he contributed to the team’s top six finish.
Rather, he moved to Adana Demispor in Turkey, where he resided for a year prior to the recent termination of his employment contract because of unpaid salaries.
Given his youth (he is only 21 years old and still has a lot of promise), Michut, who is currently a free agent, will likely move quickly.
