Transfer update: Sheffield United has launched a proposal to sign in the exceptional player…

The most recent team to be connected to Crystal Palace attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is Sheffield United.

The winger has recently been linked to Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, Queens Park Rangers,

and Luton Town. Alan Nixon has also included the Blades in the mix after their relegation from the

Premier League the previous season.

Nixon said last week that although the Hatters seem to be up against it to get Rak-Sajyi, Luton Town is

“hopeful of winning the battle to sign the Palace attacker on loan during the summer transfer window.”

The 21-year-old was reportedly attracting interest from a number of Championship teams last summer,

including Sunderland, Leicester City, and Ipswich Town, even before both teams were promoted to the

Premier League.

Rak-Sakyi has also been connected to Hull and Portsmouth in recent months.

Rak-Sakyi had an outstanding loan stint at Charlton during the 2022–23 season. As a result, Palace

decided not to loan him out for a second consecutive season, instead keeping him at Selhurst Park. Rak-

Sakyi scored 15 goals in 49 games while playing in League One before returning to Selhurst Park.

Nevertheless, the winger played in just six Premier League games the previous season after suffering a

hamstring injury in November, keeping him out of action for five months.

As the transfer season heats up, attacker Michael Olise is expected to leave Selhurst Park in a big-money

deal to Bayern Munich this summer. As a result, Palace has reportedly expressed interest in Sunderland

star Jobe Bellingham.
