Shohei Ohtani’s Dad Drops Truth Bomb on Dodgers Star’s Wife

In his debut season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Shohei Ohtani is capping off one of the most impressive seasons in Major League Baseball history. In addition to becoming the first player to surpass 400 total bases in more than 20 years, Ohtani also recorded the first-ever 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in the history of the league.

It’s crazy to think that Ohtani’s season began with a significant fraud case involving his translator; it’s reasonable to assume that things could have swiftly spiralled out of control for him. Ohtani’s father, Toru, believes that Mamiko, the Dodgers star’s wife, should get a lot of the credit for all of his accomplishments this season. “Prior to the start of the season, there was a fraud case, which gave me great concern. Ohtani has largely kept his personal life as private as possible, as he initially refused to reveal who his wife was after he announced his marriage back in February, only to share that it was Mamiko a month later.

Even though Mamiko doesn’t often make the news, she has been a vital support system for Shohei during this difficult season, and Toru believes she should get a lot of the credit for all the success he is having on the field.
