For the foreseeable future, the Green Bay Packers will have to play Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams twice a year. In the 2024 NFL Draft, he was selected first overall from USC. Bears supporters have been telling Packers supporters all offseason that they will make the playoffs this year and that Williams will take them to consecutive Super Bowl victories.
This is coming from a Green Bay Packers fan base that has suffered ten straight losses. For the past few years, Green Bay and Chicago’s rivalry has been one-sided. When Chicago won the NFC North Title in 2018, the Bears had not defeated the Packers in a game since that season.
If the Green Bay Packers defeat the Chicago Bears this season once more, it will be hilarious. Many people overlook the possibility that quarterback Jordan Love, rather than Caleb Williams, could win MVP this season.
Kurt Benkert, a former quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, posted something on Twitter recently. Regarding the Bears signal caller heading into the 2024 campaign, he declared quite boldly. Benkert posted the following on Twitter:
For several reasons, my prognosis is extremely audacious. Benkert will be incorrect in this instance for a number of reasons. First of all, even if Sam Darnold plays every game for the Minnesota Vikings, his career high of 3,024 yards passing came in his second NFL season with the New York Jets.
Darnold has been a journeyman in the NFL for a reason as well. He has also played for the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers, making this his fourth NFL squad. Sam Darnold had to content himself with being the 49ers’ backup quarterback during the previous season because he was not the starting quarterback for the Panthers.
It’s safe to say that if J.J. McCarthy has a rough start to the season, Minnesota Vikings supporters will demand that he start at quarterback. Michigan native ranked tenth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
By Thanksgiving, it wouldn’t be shocking if Caleb Williams passed for more yards than Sam Darnold. Perhaps former Green Bay Packers player Kurt Benkert was drinking a lot during the day when he wrote this.
