Breaking: Plymouth head coach targets new Plymouth Argyle recruits ahead of the Championship season…

A general view of Home Park, Plymouth Argyle Football Club, Plymouth, Devon.

After his time at Swansea City ended, Nathanael Ogbeta joined the Greens, and during the summer, numerous other celebrities have been connected to a transfer to Devon.

The former Shrewsbury Town player has been brought in to take the place of Mickel Miller, whose formal departure from the team was announced earlier this week. After his contract expired, the fullback joined League One Huddersfield Town.

While efforts to put the puzzle together over the off-season continue, here’s a look at three possible new Argyle recruits and the most recent information regarding any possible move to Home Park.

Plymouth Argyle latest: Muhamed Tijani loan, David Ozoh battle, Marc Leonard update

Muhammad Tijani is scheduled to move on loan from Slavia Prague to Plymouth Argyle.

Muhamed Tijani, a striker for Slavia Prague, is expected to join the Pilgrims on loan for the duration of the season, as Ojora Babatunde first reported earlier this week.

The 23-year-old, who scored twice in 25 league games for the Czech club the previous season, was in Devon finishing up a medical before joining the new team.

Throughout his career, the striker has played for several Czech teams. He began his career at Karvina and then spent three years with Banik Ostrava, which led to his transfer to the capital.

The Argyle managers haven’t wasted any time in identifying their targets to assist with their problems in front of goal, following their failures in this area towards the conclusion of the previous campaign.

Tijani’s physical presence up top should provide Rooney with an alternative in the closing third of games, as the Greens failed to reach the net more than once in any of their final 12 league games of the previous campaign.

Luton Town will compete with Pilgrims for Crystal Palace’s David Ozoh.

Last week, there were rumours circulating that Argyle was preparing to sign Crystal Palace academy graduate David Ozoh on a loan.

After making some strong cameo appearances for the Eagles during the last campaign, the gifted midfielder has drawn attention; however, it now seems that Luton Town is also interested in the 19-year-old.

The young player may be available permanently, which would put an end to the Pilgrims’ plans to loan the gifted player for a season in an attempt to improve the calibre of their midfield.

In the most recent Premier League season, Ozoh made nine appearances for Palace and attracted attention with some calm displays in the middle of the park.

A player with Ozoh’s calibre would be the catalyst for the Greens to rekindle their attacking style in the final third after the loan players Finn Azaz and Luke Cundle left during the January transfer window of the previous season.

Argyle will not play for Birmingham City in the Marc Leonard trade.

This summer, Marc Leonard has drawn the attention of numerous EFL teams, and the Greens have long-standing interest in the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder.

Along with Championship newbies Oxford United, League One teams Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town, and Wrexham are rumoured to be interested in the former Northampton Town loanee.

The Blues are expected to prevail in the competition for the 22-year-old, according to the most recent update from The Mirror (live transfer blog, 01.07.24, 18:46). The deal is reportedly contingent upon a £450,000 transfer fee.

After making a strong start to his professional career, the gifted midfielder has excelled during his multiple season-long loan stints at Sixfields. Argyle will regret missing out on this player, who is expected to advance through the ranks in the future.
