Done deal: Another amazing deal, as Derby County announce the arrival of incredible player for an undisclosed fee…

Ben Osborn, a former midfielder for Sheffield United, has joined Derby County, continuing their remarkable start to their transfer activity.

After leaving the Blades, Osborn signed a two-year contract to play at Pride Park. Watford, Derby’s Championship opponents, were also intrigued by him.

However, the 29-year-old Derby native has chosen an emotional return home after growing up watching the Rams from the terraces.

Osborn played 26 games for United last season as they battled against relegation from the Premier League, a battle they ultimately lost, in what is thought to be a brilliant business move.

Having came through the ranks at Nottingham Forest, where he made over 200 appearances over a six-year period, he possesses a wealth of Championship experience.

In 2019, he finally joined United, with the Blades having paid an undisclosed sum for the versatile midfielder who can also play wing-back. He made almost 100 appearances for the team after relocating to Bramall Lane, scoring five goals.
