FA Betting Rules Violation Charged Against Lincoln City Winger Dylan Duffy….

There are allegations against a Lincoln City player for breaking the Football Association’s (FA) betting regulations.

The Football Association (FA) has accused that last season, winger Dylan Duffy placed, ordered, permitted, caused, or enabled thirty bets on football matches.

What has Dylan Duffy Been Charged With?

The Football Association (FA) has charged Duffy, 21, in connection with thirty bets that allegedly violated the association’s betting regulations between August 18, 2023, and April 23, 2024.

The Irishman will now have until July 18, 2024, to reply.

On July 11, 2024, the FA revealed the charges in a post on their X (formerly Twitter) account.

The FA’s Betting Rules:

Football betting is prohibited worldwide for all participants in the Premier League, English Football League (EFL), National League, The FA Women’s Super League, The FA Women’s Championship, and clubs in the Northern, Southern, and Isthmian leagues, according to the FA’s website and betting guidelines.

Harry Toffolo, a full-back for Nottingham Forest and former Lincoln City player, admitted to 375 infractions of the FA’s betting regulations. As a result, he was fined more than £20,000 and handed a suspended six-month ban.

During his time as a Norwich City player, which included loan stints at Swindon Town, Rotherham United, Peterborough United, and Scunthorpe United, Toffolo committed his breaches between 2014 and 2017. That was prior to the 28-year-old playing at the LNER Stadium for a season and a half.

Lincoln City Winger:

In January 2023, Duffy left Irish Premier League team University College Dublin (UCD) to join Lincoln City.

After rising through the ranks at Shamrock Rovers, he spent a year in January 2022 as an intern at UCD.

To date, the 21-year-old has made 41 appearances in SkyBet League One, tallying three goals and providing two assists. He has participated in 48 games for Lincoln City overall.

He made 41 appearances in the previous season, with two goals and one assist.
