Orioles’ Dean Kremer Sounds Off After Dominant Return

With Dean Kremer back, the Baltimore Orioles pitching rotation is starting to come together once more. He made a huge comeback against the Seattle Mariners, pitching five innings of shutout baseball.

Given the time he was away, Kremer expressed his satisfaction with his performance by saying, “Very.”

Kremer had been out since May 24 due to an injury in his right triceps. Prior to his start against the Mariners, he was activated following two rehab outings with the Norfolk Tides, his Triple-A affiliate.

Against Seattle, the fifth-year right-hander pitched five innings and struck out eight of the 19 batters he saw while giving up just two hits and two walks.

During his performance, one particularly impressive moment was his unexpected, ferocious splitter. With the pitch, Kremer struck out three Seattle bits.

He told reporters postgame that it was just a product of the moment.

“It went well tonight,” Kremer added. “I wouldn’t say that I focused a lot on it during my recovery. But I simply played well today and had a nice feel for it.

ERA for Kremer fell to 3.93 after the victory. Additionally, there is growing hope for the Orioles to win a second straight division championship.
