The only goal Kristaps Porzingis had when he travelled to Boston was to help the Celtics overcome their obstacles and win an NBA title.
Porzingis succeeded in doing so, guiding the Celtics to a dominating 64-win regular season. After Porzingis suffered a calf injury in Game 4 of the first round against the Miami Heat, the playoffs have been very different. Despite the absence of their famous centre, the Celtics have persevered, finishing 12-2 and making it to the NBA Finals in 2024.
Porzingis focused on his recovery and persevered to be prepared for the latter stretch of the tournament. Before facing the Dallas Mavericks, the Celtics have a significant “addition,” and Porzingis is aware of the intense anticipation and sense of a title in the days preceding Game 1.
According to footage given by the league, Porzingis told reporters on Tuesday, “It’s incredible.” “Just the buzzing and the energy of everyone.” Even just observing the number of people will be exciting. It makes clear how serious this is and how much is at stake. We’re approaching this with complete assurance. I am aware that no stages were omitted. Completing the task is the aim.
