JUST IN: Nottingham Forest are searching for Morgan Gibbs-White’s replacement as he is ready to leave the team…

A scattergun approach to acquisitions has resulted in a number of underwhelming players throughout Nottingham Forest’s two Premier League seasons, but a respectable handful have been standout performers while they were with the team.

5 Suitable Replacements for Morgan Gibbs-White at Nottingham Forest

Morgan Gibbs-White is among those who has been a crucial addition to the Forest team since their 2022 Premier League comeback following a 23-year hiatus.

The inventive and dynamic attacking midfielder, who joined from Wolves after an outstanding season on loan at Sheffield United in the Championship, has been the first name on the team sheet nearly every week since his arrival and has frequently been the driving force behind much of Forest’s success since their top-flight comeback.

The 24-year-old has drawn the attention of multiple teams due to his impressive performance; Newcastle United is the most recent team to be connected to the Englishman. It is understood by GIVEMESPORT that a £60 million transfer may occur this summer.

These five prospective prospects could fill the void left by the midfield player should he depart, with one of the team’s great players possibly set to depart soon.

An outside option for many reasons, but one that the Reds should at least take into consideration in the event that their star Englishman departs.

The USA international from Sunderland may not have won any games when on loan at The City Ground the previous season, but the 21-year-old still managed to get enough playing time to demonstrate his ability.

Gio Reyna, who was praised for his inventiveness, style, and skill when at Dortmund, found it difficult to get playing time during his six-month loan in Nottingham. Out of his ten Premier League outings, he started just two of them.

He did, however, give a few indications of his capabilities over this brief period. An assist in his first game back for the team against Wolves, along with a brilliant run and shot in the same contest, suggested that Forest might have a dependable option there.

The young player is expected to fetch a high price because, prior to starting his English loan, he had reached an agreement on a new contract with Dortmund.

But, there’s a chance Dortmund won’t need him as his parent club appears to be improving and is about to participate in the Champions League final. In that case, Forest might be able to acquire him for less than anticipated.
