Former Bears player Robinson found dead at motel.

Bryan Robinson, a former defensive end for the Chicago Bears, passed away, the organisation said on Monday. His age was 41.

On Saturday night, Robinson was discovered at a Milwaukee motel. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on Monday; no signs of trauma were discovered, and toxicology test results will determine the cause of death. Robinson, of Gurnee, Illinois, was declared deceased at the Midpoint Motel at approximately 10:15 p.m., according to a statement from the medical examiner’s office.

From 1998 to 2003, Robinson was a member of the Bears, where he was a key member of the defensive line and a member of the 2001 NFC Central Division winning squad. For Bears supporters, one of Robinson’s most unforgettable games occurred on November 7, 1999, the team’s first match following the passing of Hall of Fame runner back Walter Payton.

Robinson ended a 10-game losing streak to the Packers by blocking a 28-yard field goal attempt by Ryan Longwell of Green Bay with seconds remaining to preserve a 14–13 victory at Lambeau Field.

“I think Walter Payton actually picked me up a little bit and boosted me up in the air because I can’t jump that high,” Robinson stated following the game. Walter played a significant role in it. I’m positive he did.

In 1997, Robinson signed a free agency contract from Fresno State to play for the St. Louis Rams. Following his time with the Bears, he played for the Miami Dolphins in 2004, the Cincinnati Bengals in 2005–2007, and the Arizona Cardinals in 2008–2010, the latter of which included a Super Bowl trip.
