It would be an understatement to say that the Seattle Seahawks’ practice on Wednesday got a bit out of control. This comes after D.K. Metcalf, a two-time Pro Bowler, was involved in a violent incident after a very heated practice.
There is no question about Metcalf’s intentions because the cameras captured the action as well.

It was evident throughout Wednesday’s practice that Metcalf is not the most composed player in Seattle. The 26-year-old can be seen using a helmet to strike his own colleague in the brief two-second footage below.
It is evident that Metcalf was giving his swing and throw some serious heat, indicating that this was not a cordial exchange. This might have been much ugly if his colleague had not had enough head protection, therefore it is a good thing that he was wearing a helmet, at least it appears that way.
Both the origin of the event and the reason Metcalf acted in that manner—against his own teammate, no less—remain unknown. However, there is no doubting that Seattle’s training camp has so far shown a strong sense of intensity and competition.
