Celtic keen to sign new £1m+ forward
The Daily Mail claims that Celtic are interested in acquiring Dreams FC’s highly regarded young striker Aziz Musibau, a Ghanaian. But the Hoops aren’t the only ones interested in the attacker; Serie A winners Inter Milan and Premier League team Aston Villa are also keeping tabs on the attacker following a strong campaign under Unai Emery.
According to the source, Dreams FC is requesting £1.2 million in exchange for Musibau’s services. Ghana feels that Musibau, as a U20 international, has the potential to lead their seniors’ World Cup qualification campaign.
Despite only being 17 years old, Musibau is obviously well-regarded; he has already been compared to Drogba because of “his barnstorming running style and powerful shot.”
Although all three teams will be able to offer Champions League football next season, Celtic may have to fight to sign the forward before Aston Villa and Inter Milan.
It remains to be seen if Musibau is prepared to take the next step up. Should he decide to sign with Celtic, he would become only the second Ghanaian player to play for the Hoops, following Mubarak Wakaso.
