The Serie A team, according to the former Villa scout, emerged from talks on top of the other team.
Prior to his move to Turin, Luiz and Juventus have reached a personal terms agreement, as reported by Fabrizio Romano on June 13.
It appears that Unai Emery’s team will get £16.8 million in addition to Samuel Iling Jr. and Weston McKennie.
Speaking only to Villa News, King also feels that the West Midlands-based team might have gotten more out of the deal.
Douglas Luiz is expected to join Juventus from Aston Villa.
Whether Villa get a good deal for Luiz is a question that only time will tell.
Even though the number is modest, it won’t matter if McKennie and Illing Jr. have a great start at Villa Park.
Supporters would probably view this transfer as a good bargain for the team if that came to be.
But Villa will have to shell out cash to fill the midfield void left by Luiz if McKennie in particular finds it difficult to adjust.
Luiz was vital to the team’s success the previous season, so Emery will be hoping that his absence isn’t felt.
